Turns Part 2 with Dancer Ikolo Griffin – A Film by Calvin Walker

As a follow up to their previous collaboration, dancer Ikolo Griffin and filmmaker Calvin Walker present their latest film. 

This video is the second installment to accompany Ikolo’s Just Turns Workshop and was filmed at the KUNST-STOFF Arts Studio in San Francisco, California.

A native of San Francisco, CA, Ikolo Griffin has enjoyed an extensive dance career that includes having performed with the San Francisco Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Joffrey Ballet and the Smuin Ballet.  In his role as teacher, coach, and mentor, Ikolo emphasizes a positive, healthy artistic environment and a fresh approach to classicism. This fresh approach is readily apparent in his popular Just Turns Workshop, a curriculum specially designed to target and improve turning technique.

Born in Jamaica, CALVIN WALKER is a photographer and filmmaker who grew up in London and now resides in Paris.  In addition to his work for the French Film Commission, he has had a long-standing passion for creating art videos.  Calvin Walker is a follower of contemporary dance both as a spectator and filmmaker.
