BOLLYWOOD & BHANGRA INSTRUCTOR – NYC

Ajna Dance Company is now hiring experienced Bollywood and Bhangra instructors to join our company to teach classes. Training in Indian Classical dance is a strong asset. As an instructor with Ajna Dance Company, you will be responsible for the following: train and teach dancers with different levels of dance experience (beginner, intermediate, advanced); teach Bollywood/Bhangra and Classical-Blend weekly classes, workshops; focus on dance technique but also fitness and fun; provide the foundation and history of the dance style you will be teaching; work with students one on one to further develop their dance technique, skill and ability; receive training from Ajna Dance company to maintain consistent style and level of instruction and choreography (classes include a stretch, warm up & routine); create and teach choreography for private classes, wedding dance choreography; teach birthday party classes, kids classes, workshops, choreographers/instructors can audition for the Ajna Dance Company. Performance division as dancers. Compensation: This is a paid position with Ajna Dance Company. We offer competitive rates for compensation. This will be discussed during the interview process. We are a professional dance company specializing in Bollywood and belly dance styles based in Los Angeles. We perform all over Los Angeles, Orange County, Southern California and sometimes out of state. We are seeking male and female dancers with a dance background in either jazz, hip hop, ballet, or other dance styles to join our amazing team. Bollywood experience is not required as we will train extensively in our style. However, we want reliable, committed dancers that love to perform and are team players! Pays $100+ per show.
